Yes, This Is Still Happening
Is it fair to say, distrust the Catholics? Yes
Is it unfair to say, distrust only the Catholics? Yes
The Catholics sin no more than the reformists, who sin no more than the non-denominationalists, who sin no more than the Christian Right deforming this country and world.
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
No human has the right to judge another human based on the morality or ethics of another human.
We only have the right to judge by law.
This is why the separation of church and state is crucial.
Let the catholic be judged by US law, and nothing else.
For anything else could easily be judged itself.
